Work at Copperfield’s…

Are you interested in working at Copperfield’s? We are a small retail environment with opportunities for advancement. We are looking for individuals who are smart, work well with others, love interacting with customers, and really “get” what our store is about. Previous experience isn’t necessary for a Sales Associate position, but it’s a big plus!

You may also pick up a printed copy at the store, but please don’t fill it out in-store, as space is limited and we want to keep things open for our customers. A manager may call you to schedule a follow-up interview.

No prior experience necessary, but requirements listed for each position a must! Knowledge and enthusiasm related to what we do is a plus!

Current Openings

  • Sales Associate
    • Hours: Up to 40 hours: full- or half-day openings Saturday through Wednesday. (Final schedule not yet set; these hours/days are not guaranteed.)
    • Pay: $15.00/hr.
    • Description: The Sales Associate’s job is to sell merchandise, maintain the Salesfloor, and help management with any special projects that might need to be done. Since the Sales Associate is the actual person who brings in revenue for the Store, they must have a talent and enthusiasm for interfacing with shoppers and generating sales.
    • Requirements:
      • Friendly, comfortable conversing with strangers
      • Professional and self-motivated to do their best
      • Able to speak and engage with customers easily
      • Team Player is a MUST!
        • Able to follow instructions and adapt to workplace practices
        • Able to accept feedback from management and improve performance on an ongoing basis
      • Able to stand for extended periods of time
      • Goals-oriented: can work to meet sales and other goals
      • Available to work weekends and holidays, if necessary
    • Not Required, But a Plus:
      • Prior experience in Sales and/or Cashiering
      • Prior experience selling in high-end gift stores, personal care boutiques, or other related retail field
      • Interest in paper goods, gifts, books, antiques, oddities
